It’s like trying to think about yourself and be yourself at the same time.
I’ve had some long-held fearful beliefs about speaking publicly — not good when I’m in the midst of promoting a book.
Since I’ve been working with Gary, I’ve noticed myself dropping these outdated beliefs like old skin. I’m showing up with more ease and confidence in my work.
These coaching conversations are opening me in deeper ways in my life as well. I’ve been observing myself expanding in ways far beyond book promotion. I am more forthcoming in my communication, open in my creativity — and I’m seeing the wonder of the world in ways I had no idea about.
In his easy approach, Gary shares his wit and wisdom. I look forward to our sessions with great eagerness and joy.
You’d like to be free of the life-constricting feeling of self-consciousness.
You want to lead a fuller, more peaceful, and more rewarding life.
You’d like to feel at ease more of the time, instead of being afraid of your thoughts and what they might mean.
You know in your bones that the self-conscious person who pretends to be you isn’t the real you at all.
Singing or speaking in public makes you uneasy or frightened, and you’d like to move beyond that.
Get that you really can be in any situation without feeling crippled by self-consciousness.
You believe you were born this way — that self-conscious is something that you are and always will be.
You believe self-consciousness offers you some benefit or protection.
You’re not curious about what else might be possible for you.
With practice and support, you’ll find yourself reacting with more ease than you thought possible — even in the face of hot-button issues and challenging circumstances.
Getting clear on getting clear
The role thinking plays in creating my world
Can I think about myself and be myself at the same time?
The connection that already exists
Where does self-confidence come from?
The illusion of perfection
Does my voice really sound like that?
What's my fear really telling me?
Singing as an entry point to discovering who you really are
Venturing out of your comfort zone
If I can do that, what else can I do?
Seeing possibility where none seemed to be
I’m learning from my work with Gary that I’m the author of my own experience in life. More and more, I’m able to avoid the stress reactions that formerly characterized my reactions to life.
Now I see that I get to choose what to worry about in life — if anything! I’m able to simply observe reality without judging it. As a result, I feel less oppressed by feelings of failure and frustration over things (financial and otherwise), and much more aware and appreciative of the things that really matter.
I’ve come to understand that I alone have the power to choose how I experience life’s ride. Now I simply observe my thoughts and their consequent emotions as they fly in and out of my mind.
I enjoy the freedom and space that comes from understanding that my thoughts only have the significance with which I choose to invest them. I never imagined the freedom that could come from that awareness!

Because your self-consciousness will show up for sure in a group setting, there’s no better way to get more self-confident than by playing and learning in a group. Besides, everyone in the group wants to overcome the same thing — you’ll be able to support and learn from one another.
Sessions with Gary are more like conversations with a close friend.
If you've had any doubts about working with someone through personal struggles in the past, look no further. Helping to manage expectations of oneself and others is one of Gary’s specialties, no matter who you are or who you've worked with before. Gary can certainly relate to us all, especially anyone who is open to the process of lifelong learning and self-acceptance.

Being coached by Gary Stine has been a transformational experience in my life. Through our conversations, interwoven with personal experiences, Gary helps me realize truths by looking inward at myself.
Gary's genuine understanding, caring manner and great sense of humor created a wonderful rapport from the start. I’m grateful to work with Gary Stine and I highly recommend him as a coach and mentor.
